Midway Village Museum seeks Museum Educator to develop and implement engaging education programs that encourage visitors to return to the Museum again and again. Implement your creative educational ideas, develop fun and enriching programs, and join a creative, energetic and visionary team.

The right person will have the vision and experience to develop historical and living history programs, coordinate and train a team of 25 costumed historical interpreters, and bring the Museum’s 26-building historic Village to life for visitors of all ages. They will be responsible for actively networking with school administrators, teachers, and community organizations to advance the museum’s education programs for both academic and informal settings. The Museum Educator assists with special events, and works collaboratively on the marketing and evaluation of educational programs.

Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in education, history or related field required. Two to three years of living history experience preferred with a strong knowledge of late 19th and early 20th century American history. Salary range $39,000-$45,000.
