Museum Coordinator

Position Summary
This position contributes to an exceptional experience for all visitors to the Elmhurst History Museum through the performance of a variety of customer service and administrative tasks. Works under the supervision of the Curator of Exhibits.

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required. Associate degree or college education in museum studies, history or related field a plus.

• Experience in customer service. Museum or tour guide experience a plus.

• Skill in working with the public, meeting new people and partnering with volunteers.

• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Broad general knowledge and interest in the Elmhurst community preferred. Interest in history a plus.

• Ability to occasionally attend a weekday staff function or meeting.

Work Hours
Saturday 9:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and Sunday from 12:45 p.m.to 5:15 p.m.

Salary Range
$21.89 to $32.83 per hour
