Teen Programs Manager (FT)

Salary: $46,800-$55,600/year


The Adler Planetarium is seeking a full-time Teen Programs Manager to join our dynamic team located on Chicago's Museum Campus. The Teen Programs Manager works within the Space Engagement & Visualization Division as part of the Adler Teen Programs and Far Horizons team. They will develop, implement, and assess STEM programs integrating Chicago youth into project teams comprised of staff, volunteers, and external collaborators working on research projects like the Aquarius Project and Mission NITELite.  This individual will also be responsible for:

  • Leading the design and implementation of out of school time programs grounded in current Far Horizons’ scientific research and engineering projects for middle and high school students
  • Working directly with Teen Programs and Far Horizons team members to support and contribute to the development of other teen experiences at the Adler
  • Managing the application process and communication efforts specific to the programs they lead
  • Collaborating with Teen Programs teammates to develop and implement recruitment and celebration events on and off-site 
  • Representing the interests of Adler’s teen community in relevant museum-wide projects
  • Contributing to @adlerteens social media channels 

This is a three-year grant-funded position with the possibility of extension. The annual salary range is $46.800 - $ $55,600. This position begins on October 1, 2021.
